Plastic Patio Furniture – Not As Bad As It Used To Be

It ain’t what it used to be! When you think of ‘plastic patio furniture’ what comes to mind? Are you thinking of the flimsy stuff that bends or breaks if a bigger person sits on it?
Are you thinking of those cheap plastic patio chairs that you stack up after every picnic? Well, guess what! There is a new trend going on and it ain’t what it used to be.
The manufacturers of plastic patio furniture have realized that they are getting blown out of the water and need to change their product to something a bit classier while still being affordable. They actually have some plastic furniture that resembles painted wood.
There are some manufactures that are making their Adirondack chairs and resin furniture out of Polymer. This is a high density version of polyethylene plastic called HDPE. It’s a very strong, durable and heavy plastic resin which is UV protected.
There is other manufacturers hat use a synthetic wood substitute called Envirowood. This is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and containers. They permeate the plastic with a UV stabilized coloring that is the same throughout.
The plastic patio furniture such as the plastic Adirondack chairs and furniture are designed to last and provide great comfort. They aren’t affected by the rain, the sun, snow and will even stand up to chlorine and saltwater, so great for the beach or the pool side.
You will never need to paint them, sand them, varnish or buy an expensive cover to protect it. You won’t need to worry about it warping, rotting, splintering, cracking or just plain falling apart. And guess what, you can leave them out ‘all-year-round’ and they will be just fine, oh…forgot to mention, they won’t fade.
With great features like these, no wonder this is becoming the new trend. The only maintenance this plastic patio furniture will ever need is cleaning with soapy water, then rinse. How easy is that? And, if you happen to get a stain, you can actually use bleach and water to get it out and it will not affect the color at all.
Most of the manufacturers are using stainless steel hardware in constructing the plastic furniture. Their hardware they use will never corrode and is a compliment to the cool new furniture, and this also allows it to be out all year round without any worries.
And…ok..there are just a lot of great things to mention here and I want to make sure I don’t leave anything out….so back to my….And….that is not all! Since it is plastic, you can get your plastic patio furniture in all kinds of colors and styles.
You can find for example, the Adirondack chairs, the benches and swings, with a shellback style or the classic curved back style. You can get colors in white, green, patina, natural, teak and even flamingo, Caribbean blue, and banana!
